A Cozy Reading Room

Even the smallest of spaces can provide an incredible experience! At the 23rd Junior League Decorator Show House at the George Urban Mansion in Cheektowaga, I transformed this 3rd floor storage space into a reading nook.

The design is a blend of a modern color pallet, previously loved and locally sourced furniture, and an easy to care for plant that helps with the air quality of the space. It took about (2) weeks to create this respite space from a once dingy and forgotten about closet.

If you have a space in mind that you would love to see more creatively utilized, please reach out here. We can begin the process together!

Integration of nature

Feeling alive in your space is also impacted by the life in your space - even without a greenhouse (pictured to the side with Put A Plant On It owner), including plants and more natural materials like cork, wood, stone, and metal is a way to cultivate more aliveness in any interior.

Hear what clients have to say about working with me!

“Abby helped me clarify my intentions in both of my condos. She made some invaluable suggestions such as using what I already collected in order to give greater focus for our time together. Luckily, I had some interesting pieces acquired on my travels that were not being utilized - such as an old iron sewing machine stand, which became a vanity for my half bath! This would not have occurred to me, but Abby saw its potential immediately. She has a knack for visualizing one's space and left me with some suggestions I could act on by myself once our contractual time had ended.

I would happily recommend Abby as an interior design consultant!” ~Valerie F
